Pastor Dan R. Purvis, Sr.

Pastor Purvis has a great vision for Faith Tabernacle Church (FTC). He graduated from Apostolic Bible College, Memphis, Tenessee in 1985, receiving his Bachelors degree. Pastor Purvis started Pastoring at FTC in 1988, and has continued to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Kokomo, Indiana. While embracing new techniques and new technology to help promote the message of Jesus Christ Pastor Purvis is dedicated to upholding the beliefs of those who have came before us and paved the way for all of us to have the freedom to worship God in truth.

Pastor Purvis is also very active in our local district of the ALJC. He held the district Presbyter position for many years until retiring from this position to focus more on our local Church. The missionary field also has a special place in his heart as he has traveled to Africa and Russia to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and reach out to those souls that are hungry for the truth.

Music Minister Jim Jarvis

Jim is dedicated to the vision that Pastor Purvis has for FTC and Kokomo. Jim and his family recently returned from San Antonio, TX, while serving in the U.S. Air Force. Jim is a graduate of Park University and the Community College of the Air Force. He is currently pursuing his MBA while working for the U.S. Army as a computer programmer. He is also preparing his application to the Urshan Graduate School of Theology where he will pursue his Master of Theology Degree beginning in 2009.

Jim has over 15 years of experience in the music ministry. While in San Antonio he and his family were actively involved at Calvary Apostolic Church. Jim is excited to be back in Kokomo and is dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministries of FTC. While staying true to the beliefs of the word of God, Jim is dedicated to, "thinking outside of the box," in order to reach everyone possible in not only Kokomo, Indiana, but also the world.

Silent Witness

FTC's Sign Team is a wonderful team that brings the music of Jesus Christ to the hearing impaired through sign language. We also have signing throughout our worship services courtesy of Heather Purvis, who also leads our Silent Witness Team.

PACTS is our youth group. With ages ranging from 12-21, we believe that our youth needs to be involved in the local community to spread the word and life of Jesus Christ.
